The Vassar Brock Wedding

A note from the bride: It is important to take brief pauses throughout the day to see how special the occasion truly is. A moment I had always anticipated as a little girl was walking down the aisle with my dad. The song playing, “Main Title Theme” by Bob Dylan, will always mean so much to me.

Favorite moment: We danced under the stars on the water’s edge; Kris and I were the last to leave the dance floor. These are the moments you do not plan and inevitably, they turn out to be the most special. Kris and I snuck out at one point at the height of the party to practice our first dance in my bedroom. We went upstairs and peered outside the window to see all of our closest family and friends gathered together in celebration of our love.

something blue: Our cake! When we walked down the aisle, I was 3 months pregnant.  We chose to unveil the sex of our baby with our dear friends on our special day. When we cut the cake, the layers were blue! Just when we thought the night couldn't be more magical, we had the added bonus of knowing we would welcome the greatest gift of our lives just six months later.
